TikTok Monetization Countries and Requirements

TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays creators in eight countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. You must be based in one of them, have an account registered there, and meet the follower and view requirements. Pakistan, Nigeria and the Philippines are not on the list, and no connection setting changes that.

Which countries are eligible

TikTok's Creator Academy eligibility page lists eight countries for the Creator Rewards Program: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. The same page adds the condition most guides leave out: you must be based in one of these countries and have an account registered there.

Lists you find on blogs and in videos often include more countries. Some of them mix in other TikTok features, such as LIVE gifts or TikTok Shop, which have their own country lists. Some are out of date. The Creator Academy page is the one TikTok maintains, so check that one.

The requirements, one by one

• Age. You must be at least 18. TikTok uses the birthdate on your account and says you should be ready to verify it with a government-issued ID.
• Account type. Only Personal Accounts qualify. Business Accounts and accounts tied to organizations or to political or government institutions do not.
• Standing. The account must follow the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and you must not tamper with the program.
• Followers and views. At least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
• Video length. Videos must be at least one minute long to earn rewards.
• Location. Based in an eligible country, with an account registered there.

What counts as a qualified view

Rewards are paid on qualified views, not on every view. TikTok's program article lists the rules: at least five seconds of watch time, views with an "I'm not interested" tap excluded, several views from one account counted once, search views counted only with at least 30 seconds of watch time, and no ads, paid promotions or sponsored content. Fraudulent and paid views never count.

For creators abroad, the rule that matters most is that the view must come from a country where the program is available. A video watched mainly in Pakistan, Nigeria or the Philippines earns few qualified views even on an eligible account, because most of its audience sits outside those eight countries. Pakistan

Pakistan is not on the eligible list as of September 2026. That is why "is TikTok monetization available in Pakistan" is such a common search, and why so many tutorials promise a workaround. The Creator Rewards Program does not pay creators based in Pakistan. Creators there earn from TikTok through brand deals, selling their own products, and moving viewers to platforms that do pay in Pakistan.

Nigeria

Nigeria is not on the official list either. Posts announcing that Nigeria "is now eligible" appear regularly, but none of them come from TikTok's Creator Academy or newsroom. Until the eligibility page changes, treat those claims as rumors. If you are in Nigeria, the income routes are the same as in Pakistan: brand deals, selling your own products, and moving viewers to other platforms.

The Philippines

The Philippines is also not on the Creator Rewards Program list. TikTok Shop and its affiliate program run on their own country rules, so do not read a Shop announcement as a rewards announcement. Check the Creator Academy page.

Why a UK or US account from abroad does not work

Searches for "UK TikTok account monetization" grow every month, and the plan behind them is to make a UK account from Pakistan, reach 10,000 followers and get paid. It breaks on three of TikTok's own rules. You must be based in an eligible country. Your age check uses a government-issued ID. TikTok verifies your identity before it releases any payout, and it says the accepted documents vary by country and payment program.

A foreign SIM, a changed region or a VPN does not change where you are based, which ID you hold or which bank account you can receive money in. Accounts built this way run the risk of reaching the threshold and never being paid. What a US home address does here, and what it does not
