A TikTok video stuck at 0 views has usually not reached any feed yet: it is set to a private audience, it is still under review, or TikTok has made it ineligible for the For You feed. Check these in order

  1. Who can view the post. Open the post, tap the More options button, then Privacy settings. On a public account the choices are Everyone, Friends or Only you.   2. Turn on analytics. Profile, the menu button, TikTok Studio, Get started within Analytics, Turn on. TikTok says you need analytics on to see its decision about a post.
  3. Look for an ineligible notification. Open the post, tap More insights or the More options button, then Analytics. If TikTok made the post ineligible for the For You feed, a notification there shows the reason.
  4. Appeal if you disagree. Tap the ineligible notification, then Appeal at the top. If the appeal succeeds, the post becomes eligible for recommendation again.
  5. Check your inbox for violations. Removals, warnings and strikes arrive in Inbox, System notifications, and TikTok keeps a record of violations in account check.

These three get mixed up, and they point to different checks. A post at 0 has not been shown to anyone, so start with its privacy setting and its eligibility. A post that stops at a few hundred views has been shown and tested, and that is a question about the video and the audience. A long run of low numbers across every post is what people call a shadow ban, a term TikTok does not use.

TikTok's For You standards say a video with few views has not necessarily broken a rule, and that people can still find a post through search or your profile when it is not in the For You feed.
