How to Change Your TikTok Region on iPhone
TikTok sets the country or region on your account, and it says it does that from information collected when you sign up, such as the region of your SIM card or your IP address. On iPhone the setting lives at Profile, Menu, Settings and privacy, Account, User Information, Account region. Whether the change is offered to you depends on requirements TikTok lists, and once you change it you may not be able to change it again.

What decides your TikTok region
TikTok's account region help page says it collects location information at signup, such as your SIM card's region or your IP address. Those are examples, not an exhaustive list. A connection can change the IP address TikTok sees, but not your SIM card's region.
That is why two people on the same wifi can have accounts in different regions: their SIM cards and their account histories differ. It is also why a VPN alone is not an answer. A data-center address shared with hundreds of other people is easy to tell apart from a home connection, and it is not the only thing TikTok reads.
Step 1: see which region your account has
In the TikTok app on your iPhone, tap Profile at the bottom. Tap the menu button at the top, then Settings and privacy, then Account, then User Information, then Account region. That screen shows the country or region your account is set to.
On a browser it is the same setting in a different place: log in at tiktok.com, click your profile photo, click Settings, and within Manage account click Account region.
Step 2: change it, if TikTok offers it
On that same screen, select the country or region you want and follow the instructions. TikTok may ask you to review rewards or other account items first.
TikTok's help page warns that not every account is offered the change, and that once you change your country or region, you may not have the option to change it again. Treat it as a one-time decision and check the list below before you do.
The requirements TikTok lists
- You have been in the country or region and active on TikTok.
- You meet TikTok's minimum age requirement to use TikTok in that country or region.
- You have settled rewards collected in your current region, such as payouts from LIVE rewards or subscriptions.
- You have the latest version of the TikTok app on your device.
Android and the browser version use the same setting and the same requirements, only in a different place; the other routes are written out in how to change your TikTok region. If the option is missing from your account, update the app and check the list again. Only TikTok can change a region it does not offer, and no connection service can unlock the setting for you.
Starting a new account instead
TikTok's signup flow also asks for a country or region: it appears at the bottom of the signup screen, before the account exists. That is the moment the region is decided, from the signals above.
