How to check that your IP is in the UK
Connect first, then open any "what is my IP" site. Look at two lines. The country should say United Kingdom. The network owner, often shown as ISP or organization, tells you what kind of address you have: a UK broadband provider means a home line, while a hosting or cloud company means a data center. Most UK VPN servers show the second.

What a UK address does not change
An IP address says where your connection comes from. It does not change your SIM card country, your phone's language or time zone, where an account was first created, or where you live. It does not make you eligible for programs that require you to be based in the UK, such as TikTok's Creator Rewards Program, and it does not lift restrictions an account already has.
